Prostate Cancer Awareness Day at Ajman University

Pharmacy and Health Sciences College at Ajman University of Science and Technology in coordination with Community Services Department organized an awareness day to mark the International Prostate Cancer Day.

The male students at the University attended the lectures and activities to promote a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Radha Krishnan, Specialist from Khalifa Hospital, delivered an interactive lecture, highlighting the importance of regular screening and a healthy lifestyle.

Posters were exhibited on the sidelines of the event to stress on awareness of this disease, as Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men. More than 65% of all prostate cancers are diagnosed in men over the age of 65 therefore, it is very important to increase the public awareness about the screening tests for the disease and the preventive lifestyle measures.

Ajman University ensures its student’s health is a priority and therefore such awareness campaigns are regularly held on campus for all students.
